-Do any of your products contain peanuts or nuts?
All of our confections are completely peanut, tree nut, and nut product free. We have no peanut or tree nut products in any of our manufacturing plants.
-Which of your products is gluten free?
At this time, all of our confections are gluten free. We do not use wheat, barley, rye, oats, triticale, spelt or any of their components and that includes our dusting on our conveyor belts. We do use corn and soy products in the manufacturing of our products.
-Do you have an online help center for online candy orders?

-How did you come up with the name "Tootsie?"
An Austrian immigrant, Leo Hirshfield, produced the candy in a small store in New York City and ended up naming the candy after his five-year-old daughter Clara, whose nickname was "Tootsie."
-How many Tootsie Rolls are produced a day?
We produce 64 million Tootsie Rolls a day.
-How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?
It depends on a variety of factors such as the size of your mouth, the amount of saliva, etc. Basically, the world may never know.

Estimates from children seem to run from a low of 100 licks to a high of 5,800 licks, with most of them ranging from 600-800 licks.

Not only do we respond to every letter children send to us, we also send out a certificate we call "The Clean Stick Award," to each person who mails in a response to the question of how many licks it takes.
